Since the Malaysian Royal Customs were still fine tuning the GST rules and regulation during this period, requirements could only be finalized at around 80% by the end of July 2014. Changes involved were wide ranging, involving Teller channel, printed vouchers and statements as tax invoices, interface changes, as well as integration with the bank’s new central GST system. Aristal Solutions is engaged as PMO for this project and was heavily involved in all phases of the project.

The project team pulled through with intense testing (2 rounds of internal UAT, 2 rounds of bank wide UAT, 1 round of Regression) and deployment despite the changing nature of the remaining requirements. At the end of the project, the Core Banking system was GST ready on time to meet the 1 Apr 2015 implementation date.
